Jay Gunzz AKA Jay Harbin
Jay Harbin, originally from the DMV area, began his musical journey by writing songs during high school in 1994. Not only did his talent emerge early, but his work also gained recognition when Gemini, a group he joined, was featured on 95.5 WPGC radio for weeks. Subsequently, he founded Planet SB, a six-man rap group. The group recorded three albums and, afterward, opened for major headliners like Redman and Method Man, Ghostface, and Dead Prez. However, in 2008, Jay embarked on a solo career. Before long, and with help from producer Jeff Thompson and emcee Stephen Pagi, he released Scams N Schemes in 2009. Additionally, he recorded two more albums and singles. Above all, Jay, a two-time cancer survivor who repeatedly defied death, creates high-energy music to empower others. Accordingly, his next release, set for early 2024, underscores his resilience as he resumes performing.
